How to Play Teen Patti for Real Cash on Royal X Casino

Rules, hand rankings explained in detail, key terms, blind vs seen play, and honest tips for Pakistan’s favourite card game.

Teen Patti is a three-card game — the goal is to have a better three-card hand than everyone else at the table, or to make them fold. It’s the most-played card game on Royal X Casino, offered against real players and against bots for practice. This guide covers the rankings, the betting terms, and how a real round actually flows.

Hand Rankings (Highest → Lowest)

2Pure Sequence9♠ 10♠ J♠
3Sequence (Run)9♠ 10♥ J♣
4Colour2♥ 7♥ K♥
5Pair8♠ 8♦ K♣
6High CardA♠ 9♥ 4♣

Each Rank Explained

  • Trail / Trio (strongest): three cards of the same rank, e.g. three aces. Three aces is the highest trail and three 2s the lowest. A trail beats every other hand.
  • Pure Sequence: three consecutive cards of the same suit, e.g. 9-10-J of spades. If two players both have one, the higher run wins (A-K-Q is the top pure sequence).
  • Sequence (Run): three consecutive cards of mixed suits. Ranks below a pure sequence because the suits don’t match; ties again go to the higher run.
  • Colour: three cards of the same suit that are not in sequence. Compared by highest card, then second, then third.
  • Pair: two cards of the same rank plus one odd card. A higher pair wins; if pairs tie, the odd (kicker) card decides.
  • High Card (weakest): none of the above — the hand is judged on its highest card, then the next, then the last. Ace-high is the best high card.
Quick memory aid: the rarer the hand, the higher it ranks. Three-of-a-kind is hardest to get, so it sits at the top; a plain high card is easiest, so it sits at the bottom.

Key Terms You’ll See

  • Boot (ante): the starting stake every player puts in to form the pot before cards are dealt.
  • Blind: betting without looking at your cards — cheaper, and it pressures opponents.
  • Seen / Chaal: betting after looking at your cards — costs more per bet than blind.
  • Pack / Fold: giving up the round and losing only what you’ve already put in.
  • Side show: a request to privately compare cards with the previous player; the weaker hand folds.
  • Show / Showdown: when the last players reveal their cards and the best hand takes the pot.
▶ How a round flows on Royal X Casino
  1. Everyone posts the boot and three cards are dealt face down.
  2. Play moves around the table; on your turn you bet blind or look and play seen (chaal).
  3. You can raise, call, request a side show, or pack to fold.
  4. When only two remain, either can call a show — best hand wins the pot.

Blind vs Seen — Which to Choose

Playing blind keeps your bets small and hides your strength, which can push cautious opponents to fold — useful early or when the table is timid. Playing seen lets you make informed decisions with a strong hand but costs more per bet. A common approach is to stay blind for a round or two to keep it cheap, then switch to seen once the pot is worth committing to. There’s no perfect rule — it depends on your cards and your read of the table.

Popular Variations You May Meet

Beyond classic Teen Patti, you may come across variations such as Joker (random cards act as wildcards), AK47 (aces, kings, 4s and 7s are wild) and Muflis (the lowest hand wins). The betting flow is the same; only which hands win changes — so always check the table’s rules before you commit chips.

Smart Tips (No Guaranteed Wins)

  • Fold weak hands early instead of chasing — patience protects your balance.
  • Use blind play to keep early rounds cheap; commit chips only when the pot justifies it.
  • Use side shows to knock out a single opponent cheaply when you’re confident.
  • Set a table budget and a loss limit before you sit down, and never chase losses.

FAQs

What beats what in Teen Patti?
From highest to lowest: Trail (three of a kind), Pure Sequence, Sequence, Colour, Pair, then High Card. Ties are broken by the higher cards within the same hand type.
What’s the difference between blind and seen?
Blind means betting without looking at your cards (cheaper per bet); seen or chaal means betting after looking (more per bet but you play with information).
What is a side show?
A side show is a request to privately compare cards with the previous seen player; the weaker of the two hands must fold. It’s a way to remove one opponent cheaply.
Is Teen Patti skill or luck?
Both. Knowing when to bet, bluff or fold is skill, but the cards you’re dealt are luck. No strategy guarantees a win, so only play with money you can afford to lose.
